How to create a Library item
On the Dashboard, navigate to ‘Library’ on the left-hand side. This will take you to an overview of all your ‘Library’ items.
To add a new ‘Library’ item, click the green ‘Add New’ under the ‘Actions’ box on the right-hand side.
Fill in the details such as ‘Name’ and ‘Type’ from the drop-down.
You have 3 options to choose from. If you choose the file option, you will then need to upload the relevant file in the box underneath.
If it is a ‘Page’, you will need to ‘Save’ the item first and then to the ‘Edit Content’ option.
The last option is a ‘Link’. You will also need to add the ‘URL Link’.
You can choose to open the link in a new tab or alternatively open in the same tab.
There is an option to set an icon for this ‘Library’item. You can choose an ‘Emoji’ or upload your own image.
Finish completing the ‘Details’ by selecting ‘Categories’ and/or ‘Search Tags’, set a ‘Next Review Date’ if you wish. You can also send a review reminder and make any ‘Notes’. Once you are happy with the ‘Details’ you can ‘Save’ but leave the ‘Status’ as ‘Draft’ until you have completed all the ‘Content’.
Once saved, it will create the item on the ‘Overview’ page. Click the three dots and select ‘Edit’
You can now edit the information on the ‘Details’ screen if you so wish. The second tab along is to set your ‘Visibility & Owners’. This is where you can make this item visible to your staff members, either individually or bulk assign by ‘Job Role’ or ‘Teams’. You can also set staff members as ‘Owners’ and they will be able to edit and manage this particular item.
The next two tabs are for ‘Viewing Content’ and ‘Edit Content’. Firstly, you will need to select the ‘Edit Content’ tab. This is where you can add content, edit and move the content around on the page.
To add content, select the ‘Add Content’ box.
A screen will appear called ‘Add Block’, give it a name and add the content. You have the option to change the format of the text, add bullet points etc.
There is also a tab called ‘Attachments’. You can upload any linked items from anywhere within the HUB.
You can also upload a file, then ‘Save’
Once you have completed all your content, you can select the ‘View Content’ to ensure you are satisfied with the layout.
There is also an ‘Actions’ tab where you can assign your staff members to complete ‘Actions’ in relation to this ‘Library’ item.
The remaining tabs are ‘Linked Items’. This is where you can link any item to any other item within the HUB and you also have the option to add as evidence for ‘CQC’.
Lastly, the ‘Change Log’ where you can see a list of all changes that have been carried out in relation to this ‘Library’ item, who has carried out the change and date and time of the change.
