Understanding linked items
Across each of the features and packages in the Practice Index HUB, there is a ‘Linked Items’ tab.
Linked items enable you to link an item within your HUB account to other items.
To link an item to another, navigate to the ‘Linked Items tab’, which will display an ‘Actions’ box on the right-hand side. Click ‘+ add a linked item’ to proceed.
Select the ‘Type’ of the item you wish to link to your selected item.
Course - If your practice has the Learning Package subscription, you can choose to link your selected item to a course.
Policy - If your practice is using Policy Manager, you can choose to link your selected item to a policy added to your Policy Library.
Safety Alert - If your practice has the Compliance Package subscription, you can choose to link your selected item to a Safety Alert.
H&S Alert - If your practice has the Compliance Package subscription You can choose to link this your selected item to a Health & Safety alert.
HR Alert - If your Practice has the HR Package subscription, you can choose to link your selected item to an HR Alert.
Learning Event - If your practice has the Compliance Package subscription, you can choose to link your selected item to a Learning Event you created.
Significant Event - If your practice has the Compliance Package subscription, you can choose to link your selected item to a Significant Event you created.
Complaint - If your practice has the Compliance Package subscription, you can choose to link your selected item to a Complaint you created.
Compliment - If your practice has the Compliance Package subscription, you can choose to link your selected item to a Compliment you created.
Criticism - If your practice has the Compliance Package subscription, you can choose to link your selected item to a Criticism you created.
Risk - If your practice has the Compliance Package subscription, you can choose to link this selected item to a Risk you created.
Issue log - If your practice has the Compliance Package subscription, you can choose to link your selected item to an issue you created.
Audit - If your practice has the Compliance Package subscription, you can choose to link your selected item to an Audit you created.
Check - If your practice has the Compliance Package subscription, you can choose to link your selected item to a Significant Event you created.
Library - If your practice is using the free Library feature, you can link your selected item to a library item you have created.
Noticeboard - If your practice is using the free Noticeboard feature, you can choose to link your selected item to a notice you created.
Contact - If your practice is using the free ‘Contact’ feature, you can associate your selected item with a listed contact.
Meeting - if you use the free Meetings Feature, you can link this safety alert to a meeting you created.
Form- If your practice has the Compliance Package subscription, you can choose to link a Form to your selected item.
Once you have selected your Type and the specific item within the type.
Choose whether you would like to link both items to each other automatically.
Please note: Leaving this ticked will mean that the type selected and the specific item will be cross-linked. If you would like it linked only from the selected item, untick the box.
Click ‘Save'. If you want to link more than one item, click 'Save and Add Another.'
The ‘Type and Item' will appear on the ‘Linked items tab.
Type - Area of your HUB account to which you have linked.
Details - the specific item linked to the safety alert, and a quick link directly to the item.
Added By - who added the linked item.
Date Added - The date the linked item was added.
Viewers - who can see the linked item, who is the owner of the linked item, and who has visibility over the linked item.
Depending on whether you have linked the cross-link with the safety alert, it will determine if the linked item shows "Linked To" or "Linked From."
You can also see which items you have linked beneath ‘Actions’ on the right-hand side.
As a manager, clicking on the ‘Details’ will take you directly to the linked items area where you have linked your selected item.
As a staff member, when accessing the linked item, they will see a linked items section.
Clicking the item that has been linked will take them directly to the area.
